COURSE OVERVIEW
This course is designed for new supervisors and team leaders, and staff seeking to become team leaders. You will learn about the behaviors which lead to team cohesion and the actions which team leaders take to create effective teams. You will learn how to assess your own strengths and weaknesses and where you need to improve personal effectiveness. You will also learn how to use your communication skills to work successfully within a team, and how to overcome some common barriers to effective communication at work.

Conflict is a common feature of team work, and you will learn to recognize the symptoms and causes of conflict and some techniques for overcoming conflict at work. You will also learn how some techniques for dealing with difficult people at work, and how to maximize your contribution as a team member.
